Assan Masood, MGI Board Member and Deputy Chair

Assan Masood is CEO and Managing Partner of MGI Menon & Associates. A member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore and the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, Assan has been in the profession for almost 30 years.

After graduating with an Honours degree in Accountancy from the University of Singapore in 1975, Assan worked with Price Waterhouse Singapore. While with PW, Assan had managed audits of Companies in a wide range of activities including public listed companies and banks. He was also involved in engagements of Receivers and Managers, Liquidations and Corporate Restructuring, Internal Audit Reviews and other Specialized Audits preceding mergers and takeovers.

He left PW to join General Electric USA where his role in senior financial management included establishment of financial policy, tax and financial planning, US GAAP Reporting, expatriate taxation, and general controllership duties of GE’s international operations.

He returned to professional practice in 1987.

Assan now specializes in Business Consulting for Companies and Entrepreneurs including advice on Business Structures, Tax and Trust matters, Corporate acquisitions and restructuring, and promoting joint venture developments.

Assan is the Vice Chair of the MGI International Committee and the representative and area coordinator for MGI Asia area.
